Jens Ø. Duus, Ph.D.
Professor, Head of Carlsberg Laboratory
Jens Ø. Duus first joined the Carlsberg Laboratory as a Ph.D. student in 1989. He has been visiting scientist at Dupont Central Research & Development, Wilmington, DE, USA and research associate at the Beckman Institute at California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA.
His research has focused on carbohydrate structure in brewing and biotechnology using primarily Nuclear Magnetic Resesonance (NMR) spectroscopy. He is director of the Danish Instrument Center for NMR Spectroscopy of Biological Macromolecules at the Carlsberg Laboratory. Jens Ø. Duus holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the Technical University of Denmark.

David Burgess, M.Sc.
Group Quality Director
David moved to Copenhagen in April 2006 from Holsten, Hamburg, where worked for 13 years in Quality Assurance; his last position was as Quality Assurance Manager for Carlsberg Germany. Most of David's work for Holsten was in taking care of license brewers in the UK, Eastern Europe and Russia. After Carlsberg had taken over Holsten in 2004, he became involved in ProdEx (Production Excellence), becoming Project Leader for this project in all five breweries in Germany (Hamburg, Brunswick, Dresden, Lübz and Görlitz). Just before leaving Hamburg, David ran the complexity reduction project in Germany ("Value Creation") for 6 months. Since working in Copenhagen, he has been involved in re-structuring Quality Assurance, most recently moving the department to the Carlsberg Research Centre from Group Supply Chain in April this year.
David holds an M.Sc. in Malting and Brewing Science from the University of Birmingham.

Bo Grøn-Iversen, Bachelor in economic & accounting
Head of administration
Bo Grøn-Iversen joined Carlsberg in 1988 and has worked with different economic related parts of Carlsberg i.e. Internal Auditor, Business Controller, Head of controlling in Sales and Logistics and Financial Manager. In the period from 2003-2006 he was Chief accountant in DMdata/IBM in Denmark. Furthermore he has joined several business related courses i.e. Business Insight by DIEU.
